I found this kid in finding Daniel Riera. He's another musician/producer out of San Francisco. We linked up around the same time Riera and I did and he sent me this beat. To be honest, I almost passed on the track because of the vocal sample at the beginning of the song... "Hip Hop is aliiiiiiiiiiive." I knew it would box me in and force me to write something cliche about the state of Hip Hop. It didn't though...I dug down deep to try to be more creative than that and wound up personifying Hip Hop in sort of an answer to Nas' "Hip Hop Is Dead". I think it worked out well.
